ROY THOMAS has written in every form of the comics medium ever since the mid sixties: super-heroes, western, horror and, most particularly, fantasy or sword-and-sorcery. With humble beginnings in comics fandom, creating and editing his own fanzines (comics fan magazines), he is best known for his adaptation of the works of Robert E. Howard, who created such characters as Conan the Barbarian and Red Sonja. Thomas served well as both editor and editor-in-chief at Marvel Comics in the early 1970s, but never lost sight of his writing. Roy lives in California with his wife.
GIL KANE stands as a leader in graphic storytelling, a hallmark by which so many others can be measured. Beginning in the early 1940s, Kane worked for numerous companies through the years, until the so-called Silver Age of costumed super-heroes when he helped establish Green Lantern and The Atom for DC Comics.
